Lent is the penitential season of the Church year. It begins on Ash Wednesday. Traditionally, the Lenten Season is a time of penance. Lent is a season in which prayer, the reception of the sacraments, charity, and almsgiving are emphasized. Fast and abstinence are to be observed on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. All the Fridays of Lent are days of abstinence from meat.
There will be a Noon Mass and a 5:00 PM Mass on Ash Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Ashes will be distributed immediately following the Noon Mass, again at 3:00 PM and after the 5:00 PM Mass.
The Sacrarment of Reconciliation (Confession) will begin again, starting Ash Wednesday, from 10:30 - 11:45 AM, Monday through Saturday.
